Experience Turkey with time to enjoy its most iconic places at a comfortable pace. Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Istanbul and Check-in to hotel

Your 8 Days Turkey Tour Package begins with a smooth arrival in Istanbul, where your driver welcomes you at the airport and transfers you comfortably to your hotel in Sultanahmet. This historic district places you close to the heart of the old city, making it a perfect starting point for your Turkey journey.

After check-in, the rest of the day is free. You may relax after your flight, enjoy a gentle walk through the atmospheric streets of Sultanahmet, or begin discovering the energy, colors, and charm of Istanbul at your own pace.

Day 2Istanbul Walking Tour (Old City) (B,L)

After breakfast, your guide meets you at 8:30 for a full-day walking tour of Istanbul Old City, where some of Turkey’s most iconic landmarks stand within easy reach of one another.

The day begins at Hagia Sophia, a breathtaking symbol of Istanbul’s layered history, before continuing to the elegant Blue Mosque and the historic Hippodrome. With your guide’s insight, each monument becomes more meaningful, connecting you to the city’s imperial and spiritual past.

Lunch is served at a traditional Turkish restaurant. In the afternoon, you visit Topkapi Palace, once home to Ottoman sultans, before ending in the lively covered lanes of the Grand Bazaar. After the tour, your guide takes you back to your hotel, with the evening free to rest or explore.

Day 3Istanbul - Cappadocia Flight and South Cappadocia Tour (L)

Early in the morning, you are picked up from your hotel and transferred to the airport for your one-hour flight from Istanbul to Cappadocia. On arrival, your local team welcomes you and takes you to the office in Goreme Town, where your South Cappadocia Tour begins at 9:30.

Your first stop is the underground city, where eight visitor-accessible levels reveal tunnels, rooms, and hidden spaces carved beneath the earth. It is a fascinating introduction to the mystery and resilience of ancient Cappadocia.

The landscape then opens into Love Valley, known for its unusual rock formations and memorable photo opportunities. After lunch, the route continues through the colorful scenery of Red Valley and Rose Valley, followed by the historic cave settlement of Cavusin Village.

The day ends at Pigeon Valley, where wide views create a peaceful closing moment before your hotel transfer and free evening in Cappadocia.

Day 4North Cappadocia Tour - Flight to Izmir (B,L)

**Optional Hot Air Balloon Ride (contact us for Booking)**

For many travelers, the optional Cappadocia balloon ride becomes the most unforgettable moment of the entire tour. Before sunrise, balloons rise above fairy chimneys, valleys, and cave towns as the first light touches Cappadocia. Advance booking is strongly recommended, as availability is limited and flights depend on weather conditions.

After breakfast, your North Cappadocia Tour begins at 9:30 with a panoramic photo stop overlooking Uchisar Castle. The view gives you a dramatic sense of Cappadocia’s scale and natural beauty.

The tour continues to the Goreme Open Air Museum, known for its rock-cut churches, chapels, and frescoes. Lunch is enjoyed in Avanos, followed by a pottery demonstration where you can also try shaping the clay yourself.

In the afternoon, you visit Devrent, St. Monk’s Valley, St. Simeon’s monk cell, and Pasabeg before flying to Izmir and transferring to your hotel in Kusadasi or Selcuk.

Day 5Ephesus Tour (B,L)

At 9:30, your guide picks you up for your Ephesus Tour. During the drive to Ephesus, you receive helpful background about the region before stepping into one of Turkey’s most impressive ancient cities.

Your visit begins at the Magnesia Gate, once a grand entrance into Ephesus. From there, your guided downhill walk leads past the Odeon, Celsius Library, Temple of Hadrian, Trajan Fountain, and the remarkable Great Theater. The ancient streets create a vivid feeling of Roman life, elegance, and scale.

The Great Theater, once seating around 24,000 people, is especially memorable and is believed to be where St. Paul preached to the Ephesians. After Ephesus, the tour continues to the peaceful Virgin Mary House, followed by lunch.

In the afternoon, you visit the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and the historic IsaBey Mosque in Selcuk before returning to your hotel.

Day 6Hierapolis and Pamukkale Tour - Flight to Istanbul (L)

Your day begins with pick-up from your hotel in Kuşadasi and a scenic three-hour drive to Pamukkale. On arrival, lunch is served at a local restaurant before your guided visit begins.

You enter from the top of Hierapolis Ancient City, exploring the Gymnasium, the impressive Amphitheatre, and the Temple of Apollo. As your guide explains the key structures, Hierapolis feels like an open-air museum shaped by Roman history and ancient thermal culture.

Afterward, you remove your shoes and walk carefully across the white travertines of Pamukkale, where warm mineral water flows over bright natural terraces. You may dip your feet in the hot springs or enjoy the man-made thermal baths for a relaxing swim.

In the afternoon, free time allows you to enjoy Pamukkale at your own pace. When the tour finishes, you fly back to Istanbul and transfer to your hotel.

Guests must be able to walk approx. 0.5 miles over the travertines without shoes.

We advise you to bring sunglasses, sunscreen, and a comfortable swimsuit.

Day 7Free day in Istanbul (B)

Today is a free day in Istanbul, giving you space to enjoy the city in your own style. After several days of guided touring, this flexible day adds balance to the journey and lets you slow down, revisit a favorite area, or add another memorable experience.

You may choose from optional tours such as a Bosphorus Cruise, Bursa Tour, Prince’s Islands Tour, Dolmabahce Palace Tour, Turkish Cooking Class, Turkish Coffee Tour, Gallipoli Tour, or Troy Tour. Whether you prefer scenery, history, food, or local culture, this day allows you to personalize your final full day in Turkey.

Day 8Istanbul - Transfer to airport (B)

After breakfast, your final day in Istanbul is arranged around your flight time. Your driver picks you up from your hotel and transfers you to the airport, making your departure smooth, comfortable, and stress-free.

If your flight is later in the day, you may add a half-day or full-day tour to make the most of your remaining time in Istanbul. It is a convenient way to enjoy one last cultural moment before leaving Turkey.

Your 8 Days Turkey Tour Package ends with a rich collection of memories — from historic Istanbul and dreamlike Cappadocia to ancient Ephesus and the white terraces of Pamukkale.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this 8 Days Turkey Tour Package suitable for first-time visitors?

Yes. This 8 Days Turkey Tour Package is a strong choice for first-time visitors because it covers Istanbul, Cappadocia, Ephesus, and Pamukkale in a balanced route. It combines guided sightseeing, domestic flights, airport transfers, hotel stays, free time, and major highlights, helping travelers enjoy a complete Turkey itinerary without managing every detail separately.

What are the main places included in this Turkey itinerary?

The tour includes Istanbul Old City, Cappadocia, Ephesus, Pamukkale, and an extra free day in Istanbul. Key highlights include Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Grand Bazaar, Cappadocia’s underground city, Love Valley, Goreme Open Air Museum, Avanos, Ephesus, Virgin Mary House, Temple of Artemis, Hierapolis, and Pamukkale’s white travertines.

Are domestic flights included in this Turkey tour package?

The itinerary includes domestic flights from Istanbul to Cappadocia, Cappadocia to Izmir, and Pamukkale back to Istanbul. Airport transfers and hotel transfers are also part of the planned route. Exact flight times may vary depending on availability and your selected package, but the tour is designed to reduce long road travel and keep the journey comfortable.

Can I book the Cappadocia hot air balloon ride with this tour?

Yes. The Cappadocia balloon ride is optional and can usually be arranged upon request. It normally takes place before sunrise and is weather-dependent for safety reasons. Since spaces are limited, advance booking is strongly recommended. For many travelers, floating above the valleys, fairy chimneys, and cave towns becomes the most iconic moment of the Cappadocia tour.

How much walking is involved during the tour?

This tour includes moderate walking across Istanbul Old City, Cappadocia valleys, Goreme Open Air Museum, Ephesus, Hierapolis, and Pamukkale. Ephesus includes a guided downhill route on ancient stone paths, while Pamukkale requires walking about 0.5 miles barefoot over the travertines. Comfortable walking shoes are important for most sightseeing days.

Where will I stay during the 8-day tour?

The itinerary includes hotel stays in Istanbul, Cappadocia, and Kusadasi or Selcuk. In Istanbul, the hotel is in Sultanahmet, close to the Old City atmosphere. Kusadasi or Selcuk is used for the Ephesus and Pamukkale section, while Cappadocia keeps you close to the valleys, fairy chimneys, and main tour routes.

Are meals included in this Turkey tour?

Breakfast and lunch are included on several days as shown in the itinerary. Lunch is included during the Istanbul Old City, Cappadocia, Ephesus, and Pamukkale tours, while breakfast is included on hotel mornings where listed. Dinners are not mentioned, so evenings are generally free for travelers to choose local restaurants or rest at the hotel.

What should I bring for Pamukkale?

Bring sunglasses, sunscreen, and a comfortable swimsuit if you want to enjoy the thermal baths. Shoes must be removed when walking on the Pamukkale travertines, so be prepared for wet, bright, and sometimes uneven surfaces. A small towel, light clothing, and a waterproof bag can also make the Pamukkale tour more comfortable.

Is the free day in Istanbul guided or flexible?

Day 7 is flexible and not fixed as a guided tour in the main itinerary. You can relax, explore independently, or add an optional experience such as a Bosphorus Cruise, Bursa Tour, Prince’s Islands Tour, Dolmabahce Palace Tour, Turkish Cooking Class, Turkish Coffee Tour, Gallipoli Tour, or Troy Tour, depending on your interests and selected package.

Is this tour suitable for families?

Yes. This can work well as a Turkey family tour for families who enjoy history, culture, landscapes, and hands-on experiences. Children may enjoy Cappadocia’s unusual rock formations, the pottery demonstration in Avanos, the Grand Bazaar, and Pamukkale’s warm terraces. Families should be comfortable with early flights, walking tours, and full sightseeing days.

Is this 8-day route too busy?

The tour is active but more balanced than shorter Turkey tour packages because it includes arrival time, a free day in Istanbul, and a final airport transfer day. Sightseeing days are full, especially in Cappadocia, Ephesus, and Pamukkale, but the itinerary also gives travelers time to rest, explore independently, or personalize the journey.

What is the best time to take this 8 Days Turkey Tour Package?

Spring and autumn are often the most comfortable seasons for this route because Istanbul, Cappadocia, Ephesus, and Pamukkale are easier to explore in milder weather. Summer is popular but can be hot, especially at Ephesus and Pamukkale. Winter can still be rewarding, though Cappadocia mornings may be cold and balloon flights remain weather-dependent.

After our hot air balloon ride in Cappadocia, exploring Bursa and Istanbul was a truly delightful experience. The weather in Bursa was quite cold, adding to the charm of the city. Throughout the tour, we enjoyed delicious Turkish cuisine and discovered many new dishes, especially manti, which quickly became one of our favorites. We also loved the authentic Turkish coffee and tea. Overall, this tour was absolutely worth every penny and exceeded our expectations.

The natural beauty of Pamukkale was truly at its peak. Many people were enjoying hiking in the area. Our tour guide shared the fascinating story of King Denizli with us. He was highly professional and had a very impressive personality. One of the best parts of this tour was the free day in Istanbul. I spent some extra time resting and later explored many places on my own. The guide had already suggested some must-see attractions in Istanbul, which made my experience even better. It was a wonderful time!

The meals included in this 8-day package were quite standard. However, the lunch at the Virgin Mary House was really good. In my opinion, there should have been more food options available. Since I didn’t enjoy Turkish cuisine very much, I had to arrange my own meals during the trip.

The time I spent in Ephesus was truly historic. From the Magnesia Gate to the Great Theater, the entire city revealed whispered stories of the past. The beauty of Hierapolis and Pamukkale was also at its peak. Luckily, the weather was perfect, so I enjoyed swimming in the natural hot springs. The walking tour in Istanbul also gave me a lot of knowledge and fun!
